What Do You Do When Thieves Want To Collect Your Car?

Yesterday right in front of me not too far from my crib,thieves collected a guy's car and he started struggling with them. He even broke the windscreen of his car himself just for these guys to go without the car. the thieves were angry and shot him on the head. Now,my question is this what's the worth of a car for you to loose your life? please in the name of God, when these boys who are already high on whatever accost you,leave whatever you

leave whatever you have and let them leave! even if you're a driver. the worst is you'll get sacked or suspected or jailed or whatever. its not worth loosing your life over. i was so touched i wento the hospital with them but trust privates,they rejected the guy. i just hope he survives. huh!

I personally will give up my car, if i am ever fazed with that kind of situation there is not point of loosing my life over my car. Now if i got $1 million in the car then it might be worth fighting for, LOL

I do hope that guy who got shot in the head survives, May God be with him and his family.

If the car was insured i wldn't bother,but if not i'l taq my chances.The "element of surprise" more often than not wks 4 me.

Its about time we naija people take insurance of life and valued properties much more importantly. Methinks health insurance should also be made taken more seriously by the working class.

My boyfriend and i were driving on Badagry-Mile 2 expressway late year and we were stuck in traffic only for us to be accosted by armed robbers.

My boyfriend's reaction was so calm and matured. Infact, i was soooo impressed although at the time it happened,  i almost fainted!

The robbers tapped his window with a gun. My boyfriend rolled down the window, before the robbers could even disclose their intentions, he told the robbers to take things easy and calmly asked the robbers if they wanted the car that he would switch off the engine and give them the car keys.

So robbers came in, ransacked his pockets, took his wallets and cell phones, ( them no even do like say i dey inside the car) and then told him to get out and take his iyawo along and he handed over the car keys to them. No struggles, no too much english and no rough handling!

Car was later found though. Somewhere at Epe !!!!

men i will give the car up as long as i live i still have the hope to drive a better car then the stolen one.i had a guy that did something similar too.he throw the key of the car away and got shot on his finger and stomach,but he survived anyway with two of is finger damage over honda civil that doesn't worth #500,000.

But thinking about it, if you worked soooo hard to buy the car and it gets taken away from you overnight by armed robbers my first reaction is "heck no you aint taking my car I worked hard for".

But I guess fighting for the car over your life is seriously taking chances I personally will fight for the car untill i see a gun or a weapon that can take my life. But if the robber is blowing smokes then no way in this earth would I give up my car.

Much as I have tried, I find it hard to believe this story in its entirety. How can a man fight armed robbers to the extent of smashing his car windscreen? Even if that's the most expensive car in the world. Dis one don pass taking chances.

Once you observe that they are robbers who want your car, try and maintain your calm. Lift your two hands in the air, leave everthing, EVERYTHING, step out of the vehicle and step aside. Please keep your hands in the air, say absolutely nothing. Don't bring your hand down till they have driven off. This assumes you are in every way a civilian, without training and unarmed.

If you carry person, tell them to PLEASE stay calm and step out of the vehicle, hands in-the-air, mouth shut!

IF you see however that their intent is to kill you no matter what. You have to fight. Your strongest weapon is your mind. If you can keep a good level of coolness and alertness and strong a will to live, chances are, you will make it, wounded, maybe, but you might make it (Probability 60%). If you react in panic and fear, chances will be 25%. This 25% na the God factor because you are as Good as dead.

BUT PLEASE INSURE your vehicle. if you can afford Comprehensive Cover, take one. Install tracker, demobiliser. Do something!!!!

lol! when the guy remembers that he will have to trek for six months before 9ja insurance companies eventually (if they will anyway) give him reimbursement, he would want to fight back o! Is insurance that fluid? Just go and buy another car immediately instead of waiting for insurance. They will tell you they will have to search fiorst for three months before actual processing for re-imbursement starts. After then nko, too many jamb questions! Why drive late at night? why this why that?

It happened in Onitsha. Two robbers approched a middle aged lady, about 40 years with their bike (a very common style or robbery in Onitsha) one of them got down from the bike and asked her to hand over her phone which she just finished making a call with. Out of whatever spirit that came into her, the lady angrily snatched the pistol from the guy and threw it into a light shrub on that pathway and asked the guy if a small boy like him is not afraid to point gun at her. Without thinking, the robbers who could not stand or believe that kind of surprise mounted their bike and sped away without even looking back.

People then rushed closer to see that kind of superwoman only to realize that the lady did not even know what she did and she was in shock at that point.
Could you believe that when one mechanic guy checked the gun, it fully was loaded.

It is not just another story. Believe it if you like.

WOW, well if you asked me i think the spirit switched places from the rubber to the woman. LOL. The fear spirit that was in the woman switched with the "brave let's attack this woman" spirit which was in the rubber at the time he tried to rob her.
